Treasure those memories

Hello and welcome to our blog hop for April.

I love the idea of memory keeping – I take so many photos that I just don’t seem to print out these days and I’d be so upset if I ever lost them. So I decided to give it a go.

Stampin' ups memory and more range makes memory keeping fun and easy!

Here are the beginnings of my album documenting a family holiday we went on last year – my daughters first trip abroad!

I went for the smaller 6” x 8” size to begin with – although I would try 12”x12” for my next album – I’ll explain why later!

I bought the Kraft album, variety pack of pages and colour theory card pack.

The cards have a variety of designs, cards to write on, sayings, overlays and stickers. It’s simply a case of choosing which photos you want and mixing them with the cards and accessories in whatever layout you’d like!

It’s so easy to sit with just with these few items, a trimmer (to cut down photos) and a pen!

The only problem I had is the 6” x 8” albums only have space for landscape full size photos and not portrait. The 12” x 12” albums do allow for portrait as well as landscape. I did work around this by using portrait photos in the smaller cut down spaces but I wish I’d noticed it as I had a lot of portrait pictures!  I’m more than happy with the results though – just thought it was worth noting!

So my album isn’t finished yet – I need to add more info and embellishments but I’m enjoying taking time out and reliving the memories of a fantastic holiday and actually printing out my photos for a change!

Please take the time to look at the other creations on the hop – I’m sure it will feature a variety of other memory keeping ideas!

Before me is Uma and next is Lynn!

Thanks for reading

  2. Love those sunny pictures - they go so well with your Memories & More cards. I used 8 by 6 albums but I just turned them round for my portrait photos and had to do a double page layout for them. There's a video on my fb page of my first memories & more album with the portrait photos x
