Teacher gifts!
My daughter finished her reception year this week at school
so I thought I’d write a quick blog about the teacher gifts and cards we made!
I got the idea for the presents from Pinterest – I bought a
couple of terracotta pots, sprayed them with blackboard paint and used a chalk
marker to write the message, Lily then signed each one. I got the tape measure
ribbon from my local fabric shop and added a little best teacher charm to
finish it off! The plants in the pots are peace lilies – Lilies from Lily!
Lily
also made key rings for her Teacher and teaching assistant, as well as the
teaching assistant from the other class who took her for phonics lessons.
The cards were made using Stampin' Up! products, a dog for
her teacher from the adorable Bella and friends stamp set.
And a cat for her
teaching assistant using the equally adorable pretty kitty stamp set. They were
both coloured in using aqua painters and ink pads, and personalised using the labeler alphabet stamp set.
Lily designed this good luck card for her phonics teacher
who is leaving to go to university for her teaching degree – it again uses the Bellaand friends stamp set but she coloured it in with sharpies!
I’m sure you’ll agree they were sweet gifts and they were
well received!
Lily loved her time in reception and knowing how much hard
work teachers put in I think they
deserve a little recognition and a gift made with love!
Thanks for reading!
